Section Chair Randy Turner convinces Fort Worth’s 2nd Court of Appeals that dog owners can recover damages from a defendant based on the sentimental value related to the loss of their pet. Read the Texas Lawyer article here.
Section Councilmember Don Feare, acting as county attorney pro tem in the cruelty seizure of 200 dogs, persuades Floyd Country trial court that the animals had been cruelty treated. The court awarded the dogs to the humane society and set the appeal bond at $354,530. Read more here.
